How To Measure
Measure over light clothing with a soft tape. Keep it snug but never tight — you should be able to slip a finger underneath. Write the numbers down once and you can shop the whole collection from them.
Size charts →Shoes off, heels together, back flat against a wall. Mark the top of the head and measure down to the floor. For babies, lay them flat and measure head to heel.
Arms relaxed at their sides. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, level all the way around the back.
Find the natural crease at the waist — usually just above the belly button — and measure around, keeping the tape level. Don't pull tight or ask them to suck in.
Standing straight, feet slightly apart. Measure from the crotch straight down the inside of the leg to the ankle bone. Easier alternative: measure the inseam of pants that already fit them well.
Arm relaxed with a slight bend at the elbow. Measure from the center back of the neck, across the shoulder, down the outside of the arm to the wrist bone.
Their current weight. Use it as the tiebreaker when height and chest point to two different sizes.
A few tips
Kids wriggle — measure twice and take the larger number. Growth comes in bursts, so re-measure at the start of each season rather than trusting last year's size. If a measurement falls between two sizes, our size charts tell you which way to go for each fabrication.
